French authorities are working on the terrorist network behind the attacks could have been hours away from Paris to tell apart another attack when the police closed shelter the suspects last week.

According to a source close to the investigation, Abrini went to Syria in 2014, but it was not clear when he returned to Europe. He would not have believed it to last at least six of the alleged attackers traveled from Paris to the war-torn Syria.
